Chad Brown
Creative Director / Designer / Photographer

Chad has 16 years of experience in creative advertising and design, working with large and small clients on a global platform from New York, LA, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Spain. Chad has lead teams to develop integrated advertising campaigns including website design, print campaigns, commercials, and more. His previous client roster is very impressive including Russell Simmons's Phat Farm (Run Athletics), The Epic Group, Nike, and other international companies and non-profit organizations. Chad earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Design at American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed a Masters in Communication Design at Pratt in Manhattan, New York City, in 2000, where he became the first student in the school's history to be recognized by the American Advertising Association Awards (MAIP) Minority Advertising Internship Program for creative work on an advertising campaign (for Tylenol). Chad has also lectured on typography and advanced design at Brooklyn Technical College during 2004. He previously founded Presher Design in New York before moving to the Northwest to work as the art director for the Overland Agency and then in 2007 founded Chado Advertising & Design.

Michael Gross
Associate

Michael is a recent graduate from Oregon State University with a BA in marketing and advertising. He also studied new media communication, sociology, and web design. While attending school he had the opportunity to hone his skills and work on multiple marketing and promotions projects including work in social media marketing, guerilla marketing, event coordinating, branding, and design for a variety of businesses and non-profits. He also worked for the student ran television station KBVR working in promotions/PR and behind the camera filming a live music show. After moving back to Portland with understanding and experience utilizing traditional and non-traditional methods to convey brand messages Michael started working with Chado Advertising & Design to add a fresh perspective with the use of new media for visual communication.

When he is not busy taking on different roles at Chado, Michael enjoys riding various types of boards, music, film, and hiking the Columbia Gorge

Bo Carlson
Web Developer

Bo Carlson is a seasoned web developer specializing in creating custom Web 2.0 applications using JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and Flash. Bo graduated from PCC with an associates in computer information systems specializing in Java, Apache, and MySQL. This formal education, along with his high attention to detail, strong grasp of new technologies, and constant research about emerging web technologies and techniques make Bo an excellent web developer, always on the cutting edge of new web technologies, and a vital part of our team. Bo is very knowledgeable about advanced programming concepts including object oriented programming, database & server management, and configuration using Linux and Apache. He is also very versatile; his deep understanding of Java enables him to easily pick up and master other object oriented languages such as PHP and Actionscript. Bo also specializes in Search Engine Optimization and browser-specific optimization for websites.

Tim Diens
Videographer

Tim is an experienced videographer who has been involved in the production and postproduction of major video projects with high profile brands like HP, Autodesk, New Season's Market, and Microsoft's Xbox. Tim is highly skilled in all aspects of production and postproduction of high definition video but his main roles are director of photography, producer, and editor. Tim has a bachelor's degree in video communications/advertising from Central Washington University and ten years of experience making unique, engaging video pieces for broadcast, corporate communications, and entertainment media. Tim's impressive portfolio features a variety of different projects including commercials, corporate videos, instructional videos, animation, and community awareness videos.
